History
The original market hall Vinohradská tržnice, built in 1902 by Antonín Turek, is particularly notable for its pleasant airiness and unique natural light. The central area where you fi nd the café offers guests the distinct atmosphere of the turn of the 20th century; restoring the tradition of a place which was from the very beginning intended for meeting of people and good meal.
The atmosphere of today’s Café Pavilon follows the culinary tradition of the Prague cafés of the 1920s and 30s infl uenced by Vienna and Paris. Café Pavilon offers its guests excellent coffee, real hot chocolate, renowned desserts made by the head pastry chef of Café Savoy and popular breakfast menus. The wine-vault at the rear of the café invites you, as in the golden age of the Czech catering trade, to taste wines from distinguished Czech, Moravian and world wine producers.
For your pleasant rendezvous, Café Pavilon.
